Shipping, Transport and Logistics

Our shipping, transport and logistics group comprises lawyers with many years of experience in maritime, trade and transport law.

The group has developed from leading London maritime law firms and draws from the shipping, insurance and commercial litigation teams.

Dominic Lang, is a supporting member of the London Maritime Arbitrators’ Association and acts as an arbitrator by invitation on shipping or freight disputes.

Lawyers in the group have wide experience of disputes concerning all areas of the transport and logistics industry – from ship-owners and managers, insurers, charterers and cargo owners to ports, docks and shipyards and freight and logistics companies and those funding goods by financial trade instruments such as bills of lading and letters of credit.

We advise on marine casualty and insurance and regulatory and environmental issues (including risk and compliance); a dedicated department focuses on asbestosis claims.  Expertise is also available from commercial litigation specialists who advise on contractual issues such as failure to pay, cargo and other disputes, breach of contract and force majeure.

In tandem with our travel and leisure teams, we have an extensive international network of local correspondent lawyers for overseas and multi-jurisdictional claims.
