David is an experienced insurance litigator and advises insurers on all aspects of policy coverage issues, including inter-insurer and insurer/broker disputes, as well as acting in a wide range of professional, property and product liability cases.  He has acted in cases at every level of the courts and has wide experience of mediation.

David also advises on the formulation of, and drafts, policy wordings and associated documentation for insurer clients and other insurance-related documents such as binding authorities and fronting arrangements.

• Kosmar Villa Holidays PLC v Trustees of Syndicate 1243 (2008) – insurance coverage : repudiation for late notification/waiver

• LFCDA v Meritor and Renault (2006) – product liability

• Advising insurers in relation to:

- non-disclosure in property damage case worth in excess of £5 million

- repudiation of claim arising from serious skiing accident for late notification
- cross border/jurisdictional issues

• Drafting tour operator liability policies

• Advising on and drafting contractor liability policies and endorsement banks

• Drafting liability sections for commercial property policies
